The role of green strategy in achieving the company's overall strategy "An exploratory study of the opinions of a sample of administrative leaders in the Baghdad Battery Factory"
Abstract
This research aims to identify the potential role of adopting a green strategy in industrial institutions in implementing their overall strategy. These institutions are increasingly seeking to support environmentally sustainable practices to gain customer loyalty. To this end, a questionnaire was designed and distributed to a sample of 48 department managers working at the Baghdad Battery Factory, affiliated with the Ministry of Industry and Minerals, to gather their opinions on the role of adopting a green strategy in implementing their factory's overall strategy. Through a review of relevant practices and studies, three dimensions of the green strategy were identified: (green internal culture, green excellence, and pollution prevention). These dimensions can potentially play a role in implementing the overall strategy, which encompasses (organizational structure, organizational culture, and leadership style. To achieve the research objective, the descriptive analytical approach was adopted through the use of the statistical package (SPSS.V.25) with the aim of determining the relationship between the two study variables, the green strategy and the implementation of the general strategy. The results of the exploratory study in the factory under investigation proved the existence of an effect of the green strategy on the implementation of the general strategy
