About College
Baghdad College of Economic Sciences University is a prestigious private university that was established in 1996 and is recognized by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research. The college consists of the following departments:-
- Department of Financial and Banking Sciences
- Department of Business Administration
- Department of Accounting
- Department of Computer Science
- Department of Computer Technology Engineering
The college adopts the regulations and instructions issued by the Iraqi Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and seeks to prepare students academically and technically to provide them with scientific knowledge and applied experiences and develop their skills The Baghdad College of Economic Sciences, the university, focuses primarily on the quality of education, scientific research and entrepreneurship, in order to prepare its graduates by developing their skills and abilities for lifelong learning and arming them with knowledge to become the nation's leaders in the future. At the same time, the University of Baghdad College of Economic Sciences aspires to spread and enhance knowledge in the State of Iraq in order to expand the base of scientific and literary studies and then keep pace with the leading countries in the fields of arts and sciences, and work to contribute to discoveries and inventions, and to revive Iraqi civilization and restore its glories.
The college has expanded since its inception to include buildings, laboratories, classrooms, library halls, sports fields and offices, along with opening continuing education courses, online courses, and summer training for students. On the other hand, the college has concluded several scientific agreements and cooperated with many national and international universities (Salah Al-Din University, Cihan University) in Iraq, (Al-Isra University, Ajloun National University, Al-Ahliyya Amman University) in Jordan, west Attica University in Greece, Moscow University in Russia, Malaysia Pearls University, in addition, the college became a member of the Association of Arab Universities.
