The role of directed loans in financing economic development

Abstract

In this research, we try to show the role of loans directed at both its cash and pledge types in financing economic development, as some financial ratios were used to conduct the analysis process for all commercial banks (governmental and private) operating in Iraq, and from these ratios (rates of change and relative importance), the study found that A group of conclusions was the most important of which is the role of loans directed in financing the Iraqi economy by commercial banks operating in Iraq was very low and does not correspond to the size of the gross domestic product or deposits of depositors with those banks
